This week, I think I finally understood how to make a research assessment. My teacher had been stressing that we had to look deeper and get rid of surface-level analysis, and although I understood what she meant, I was having trouble applying it. However, after a couple of hours working on my assessment, I was finally able to add insight to what I read in articles and showcase my own thought process. This was such a relief to me, as it had been causing me stress, but I know that with every assessment I should improve my analytical and writing skills.
I also created a resume that I would present to mentors or maybe future employers, and although I was very proud with how it turned out, it also highlighted that I don't have much hands-on experience. In school, I'm very active in clubs and activities, and I volunteer on a regular basis, but I still haven't had many opportunities in the real world. This is something that I want to change, since I know real world experience is crucial to being successful. I've already begun an application to join a NASA run program on space, and I'm also trying to explore other opportunities around me.
While reading some research articles, I had some interesting ideas regarding some of the content, and although my ideas may not even be feasible, it's exciting to plans form for possible final project ideas. Next week, I want to look more into these ideas and see if I can learn anything new about them.
