The Bulldozer

My ISM teacher told me something very interesting today. She said that ISM is like a bulldozer, slowly chugging away, but if you let your work slide and wait until the last minute, you'll be crushed underneath it. I think this makes so much sense. I've been looking ahead at our workloads for the upcoming months, and I can see that there is lots of work and time that we need to invest. However, I think that ISM being a bulldozer is a good thing, because that means I'll be motivated to work to my best abilities and always strive to finish my tasks.
I've started reaching out to professionals, and although it's very nerve-wracking, I also feel like I'm making progress and learning new skills. After having a meeting with an ISM alumni, I want to try and compile a list of astrophysics professionals in my area so that I can set up research interviews with them. Not only will these interviews help me learn more, but they'll also give me a foundation for possible Original Work ideas. I also want to brainstorm at least three possible Original Work ideas by the end of the week, so that regardless if they're actually feasible, I'll at least have a basis on what to look forward too.
I can feel that things are starting to get serious, and I'm very excited!
